Cherry Bakewell overnight oats

This irresistible recipe combines the classic flavours of cherry and almond, reminiscent of the beloved Bakewell tart, with the convenience of overnight oats. Simply prepare the night before for a hassle-free breakfast that's bursting with flavour and wholesome goodness. Each spoonful offers a delightful blend of creamy oats, tart cherries, and nutty almonds, creating a satisfying morning indulgence that's sure to become a favorite. Start your day right with our Cherry Bakewell Overnight Oats and savor the taste of homemade comfort in every bite.


For the cherry compote

  • 250g frozen cherries
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

For the overnight oats

  • 300g Greek yoghurt
  • 100g Jumbo rolled oats
  • 60ml milk
  • 2 tbsp flaked almonds, toasted
  • 2 tsp chia seeds, optional


  1. To make the cherry compote, heat the ingredients in a pot over a medium heat until the cherries break down. Add more maple syrup to taste if desired. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine the yoghurt, White’s Oats Organic Oat Flakes, milk and chia seeds, if using. Stir together well.
  3. Layer some of the mixture into two large tubs or jars and top with a spoon of the cherry compote, followed by a sprinkling of toasted almond flakes. Repeat these two layers until you reach the top of the jars.
  4. Place in the fridge overnight, and for up to three days. Enjoy at room temperature or heat in the microwave as desired.
