Blackberry and Raspberry Granola Bars

These granola bars are the perfect work treat or back to school snack. Packed full of fruit and protein, they are guaranteed to give you an extra energy boost to get you through the day.

Ingredients

  • 100g (4oz) butter
  • 3 tbsp agave syrup (or substitute honey)
  • 200g (7oz) White's Speedicook Porridge Oats
  • 100g (4oz) demerara sugar
  • 100g (4oz) mixed seeds (pumpkin, linseed and sunflower)
  • 100g (4oz) chopped mixed nuts
  • 75g (3oz) frozen blackberries
  • 75g (3oz) frozen raspberries

Method

  1. Line a rectangular baking tray with parchment paper and set oven to 140*c/fan oven 120*c/ Gas mark 1.
  2. Melt the butter. Fold in the syrup, oats, nuts, sugar and seeds. Break up the fruit and mix in well.
  3. Press into the tin, leavening off the top.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes then cut into bar shapes.
