White's Oats

The Importance of Wholegrain and Fibre in the Diet

Gluten Free

Oats contain the whole of the grain which is composed of three parts: the germ, the endosperm and the bran.

People often confuse fibre and wholegrain. Fibre is an important component of wholegrain but the fibre element alone is not enough to protect us, rather we need the whole package of nutrients working together in wholegrains. Despite these clear health signs many people are still not eating enough wholegrain in their diet. It is recommended that wholegrain foods should make up about a third of our daily food intake. Oats contain 100% wholegrain therefore are an excellent source.
