White’s Speedicook Oat Pancakes
Serves 6-8 pancakes (5-6 inches across)
Ingredients
140g/5oz plain flour
45g /2oz White’s Speedicook oats
2 tsp/10g baking powder
300ml skimmed milk
1 egg, beaten
1tbsp/15ml vegetable oil
Method
In a large bowl, combine flour, oats baking powder; mix well.
In another bowl combine milk, egg and oil. Blend well and add to dry ingredients. Stir until dry ingredients are moist - do not mix.
For each pancake pour three tablespoons of batter into hot pan coated with vegetable oil. Turn when tops are covered and bubbles and edges look cooked. Flip and repeat.
Serve with fresh cream.
